Toluene and MX spreads with RBOB narrow sharply amid fluctuating refinery production

HOUSTON (ICIS)--Spreads between toluene and RBOB gasoline as well as mixed xylenes (MX) and RBOB gasoline move to new lows as refinery rates begin to fluctuate amid the gradual reopening of the US economy. SPREADS CONTINUE TO DROP The spread between US spot toluene and RBOB dropped to $0.248/gal the week of 11 May, the narrowest spread recorded since ICIS started tracking US Gulf Coast spot toluene on an FOB (free on board) basis in July 2004.
