HOUSTON (ICIS)--US hydrochloric acid demand (HCl) outlook took a beating as US oil and gas exploration and production companies announced exploration budget cutbacks in the face of collapsing oil prices. The cutbacks follow 18 months of steady winnowing of the number of rigs operating in the US already as oil prices descended into the low $50/bbl range.
