Mideast Group I base oil talks stable but some signs of tighter supply

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Discussions for spot Group I base oils in the Middle East remained stable week on week, although some signs of tightening supply have emerged due to a lack of fresh shipments from Iran. In the week ended 22 January, discussions for Group I SN500 in the main Middle Eastern trading hub, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), were at $545-575/tonne ex- tank Sharjah basis, depending on the payment terms and volume, said market sources.
