Surging PO prices disrupt Middle East polyol markets

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Gains made by propylene oxide (PO) feedstock prices in recent weeks have had a disruptive effect on the polyols market in the Middle East.On the back of tight supply,PO prices have surged to an average of above yuan (CNY) 13,000/tonne on a delivered basis (DEL),while CFR (cost & freight) China prices were over $1,400/tonne as of the week ended 21 August.
