NE Asia C2 still strong on tight regional supply,pre-holiday buying

SINGAPORE(ICIS)--Northeast Asian ethylene(C2)import prices edged up during the holidayshortened week,as low end-user inventory in October led to some last-minute buying in the key China market.The regional market will see continued support from the limited availability of spot cargoes as well as new demand from downstream start-ups in China and South Korea after the holiday season.The demand-supply balance for first-half November delivery supply will remain snug despite a likelihood of an improvement from October.
