SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Trading activity in Asia's liquid caustic soda spot market saw an uptick this week, amid slightly tightening supply from northeast Asia as well as improved demand in southeast Asia. With expectations that spot supply from northeast Asia could constrict further in the coming weeks, selling indications firmed. A South Korean producer retracted its December offers, after an unexpected cracker shutdown caused the company to lower its chlor-alkali operating rates on 5 November.
