SINGAPORE (ICIS)--India’s ethanolamines market saw its first recorded trade since the country’s lockdown on March 25 amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. As a net importer of ethanolamines, India depends entirely on imports for domestic usage, which has been severely impacted by Covid-19. As of 13 May, market players said that limited downstream plants were open, some at reduced operation ratios due to a lack of manpower. Those open include the surfactants, personal care and agricultural industries.
