China ACN gains in August;oversupply remains amid bearish demand

SINGAPORE(ICIS)--China's domestic spot acrylonitrile(ACN)prices were on an uptrend in August,but the market is expected to remain in oversupply while demand is bearish in major downstream acrylic fibre sector.On 31 August,the average ex-tank prices at east China ports rose to yuan(CNY)CNY8,300/tonne,up by about 10% from the start of the month,according to ICIS data.
