Asian PP arbitrage window opening, high freight costs the only obstacle

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--A widening spread between the prices of polypropylene (PP) in China and southeast Asia is opening up an arbitrage window, but high freight rates remain the final obstacle. PP flat yarn prices were assessed at $1,090-1,110/tonne CFR (cost and freight) CMP (China main ports) on 10 December.
