XPLORE Technologies and Intel believe they have come up with the fasted rugged tablet yet, the Windows-powered Xslate R12, with Xplore becoming the first rugged tablet maker to integrate Intel PCIe solid state drives into its portfolio. The drives offer a two times improvement in disk performance when combined with the i7 vPro processor, a 48% improvement in overall system performance.
