Lukoil is considering ventures into overseas LNG export projects, president and co-owner Vagit Alekperov told shareholders at the company’s annual general meeting (AGM) in Moscow on 20 June. “We do plan LNG projects, but only outside Russia… we are looking at Congo [Brazzaville] and Cameroon, and at other parts of the world where we have made gas discoveries,” Alekperov said. “Our projects in west Africa are oriented towards construction of LNG plants.”
