Kazakhstan plans to restore crude quality

Pipeline exports of Kazakh crude to China should be restored to normal by 10 February, energy minister Nurlan Nogayev says. Shipments were suspended temporarily last month because of problems with crude quality. State-owned crude pipeline operator Kaztransoil (KTO) stopped accepting Aktyubinsk crude from Chinese-Kazakh joint-venture producer CNPC- Aktobemunaigaz on 16 January, when excessive organic chloride content was detected in supply from the frm.
