KMG takes 1H proft hit

Kazakhstan’s state-owned Kazmunaigaz (KMG) has joined the list of oil and gas companies hit by the Covid-19 pandemic and sharply lower oil prices. Its proft dropped by 83pc on the year to 104bn tenge ($256mn) in the frst half of 2020. Revenue for the period was around one-third lower than a year earlier at Tenge2.2 trillion, while KMG’s debt increased by 4pc to $6.43bn in the six months to the end of June.
