Oil prices make gains

Crude prices firmed in the wake of a shutdown of the Forties Pipeline System and uncertainty over the eventual return of Forties output. Atlantic basin benchmark North Sea Dated firmed by 76￠/bl to $64.39/bl in the week to 21 December. Mideast Gulf marker Dubai gained $1.69/bl to $62.18/ bl, while US benchmark January WTI rose by $1.27/bl to $58.31/bl.
