Regional demand supports light products

Firm regional demand supported gasoline and naphtha, and gasoil margins strengthened on tightening supplies. But increasing availability weighed on jet fuel, while fuel oil supply remained plentiful. Gasoline’s premium to Ice Brent crude rose to a three-month high on firm demand (see graph). Indonesia’s Pertamina bought 440,000 bl of gasoline for September delivery, having already purchased about 1.1mn bl for delivery in the first half of September.
