Refinery problems lift clean products

Refinery problems on the US Gulf coast helped draw clean US products prices higher. Supply levels were mixed in weekly inventory reports, with stocks of distillates rising while gasoline fell. ExxonMobil’s 500,000 b/d Baton Rouge refinery is dealing with possible flood issues after heavy rains in Louisiana. Total extinguished a fire at a distillates hydrotreater at its 240,000 b/d Port Arthur refinery in Texas. ExxonMobil also shut a catalytic cracker at its 557,000 b/d Baytown refinery in Texas.
