Mideast Gulf grades firmed on rising demand from northeast Asian refiners for October-loading cargoes, as Japanese and South Korean refiners anticipate restarts following seasonal maintenance. October-loading Abu Dhabi Murban traded at a 15￠/bl premium to the Adnoc official selling price, firmer than a deal last week at a 10￠/bl premium and higher than sales for September-loading Murban last month at discounts of 20-40￠/bl. October-loading Qatari Al-Shaheen traded at narrower discounts of 40-50￠/bl to benchmark Dubai assessments, compared with September-loading Al-Shaheen, which traded last month at a discount of around $1.20/bl to Dubai assessments.
