Regional margins take a hit

Slim petrochemical sector demand and plentiful imports have helped push Asian naphtha to a more than six-year low against Ice Brent crude (see graph). Higher naphtha arbitrage arrivals from Europe and the Americas, weaker petrochemical margins, seasonally low LPG prices and falling gasoline values have exerted downward pressure on the market.
