Straitened times buoy prices

Oil prices rose on the threat of disruption to Mideast Gulf supplies after Saudi Arabia halted oil shipments through the narrow Bab al-Mandeb strait. Atlantic basin crude marker North Sea Dated rose by $2.36/bl to $74.66/bl in the week to 26 July while US benchmark September WTI was $1.37/bl higher at $69.61/bl. Mideast Gulf benchmark Dubai gained $2.18/bl to $73.50/bl.
