Russian medium sour Urals shipments along the southern leg of the Druzhba pipeline resumed on 11 May, Ukrtransnafta, the operator of the Ukrainian section of the system, says. Flows to Hungary, Slovakia and the Czech Republic were restored following a gap of around 17 days having halted on 25 April, after Urals’ organic chloride con- tent was found to be far in excess of the maximum permitted 10ppm. Hungary’s Mol, which operates the 160,000 b/d Szazhalombatta refnery in Hungary and the 120,000 b/d Bratislava plant in Slovakia, has confrmed that Druzhba Urals now conforms to the correct specifcations, Ukrtransnafta says. But northern Druzhba routes to Germany and Poland remain suspended.
