1.Prompt naphtha prices fell against forward months, while frm demand from India and the Mideast Gulf supported fuel oil and gasoil. 2.The naphtha curve fipped into contango - prompt discounts to forward values - as Hanwha Total ofered more prompt supply because of an extended turn- around at its Daesan cracker (see graph). A styrene monomer unit has also been hit by two explosions, which could further delay the cracker’s return.
