Margins rise but still well below normal

Products margins made gains as ofcial French data for July showed steady gains in demand, with gasoline levels up by almost 3pc on the year. Eurobob oxy gasoline’s premium to North Sea Dated firmed by around 30￠/bl to $3.22/bl, as rising demand in Europe outweighed lacklustre exports (see graph). Around 250,000t of gasoline has been booked transatlantic, and the same amount to west Africa, down by around 40pc on a week earlier.
