Recovery falters

The upward momentum of the energy complex as it recovers from coronavirus- related lockdowns appears to be faltering. A weaker dollar, a €750bn EU Covid-19 recovery plan, rising tensions between the US and China, and optimism over a vaccine — none of these could overcome the fundamental fear that Covid-19 has not fi nished trashing the global economy.
