Japan's Okinawa shuts coal power unit

Japan's southernmost utility Okinawa Electric Power hasshut the 220MW No.2 unit at its Kin coal-fired power plantbecause of a technical problem.The utility was forced to halt the No.2 unit on 7 Augustfollowing a possible leak in the boiler tubes. It is unclearwhen the unit will resume operations.
