Suez Canal transits rise in April

Overall vessel cargo volumes and vessel transits on the SuezCanal rose in April, according to the canal authority's latestmonthly traffic data.A total of 364 tankers transited the canal last month,down by 0.5pc compared with April 2017. Bulk carriertransits rose by 17.3pc to 298, while LNG carrier passagesfell by 6.7pc, putting the monthly total at 56 vessels.
