China's eastern province of Zhejiang will replace some coal-fired power supply with clean energy sources as part of measures to protect the environment, amid expectations for a slower increase in energy consumption this year. The province's environmental protection department and reform commission said it will tighten controls on the construction of new coal-fired plants, to reduce pollution and develop cleaner energy sources as part of its 13th five-year economic plan that runs to 2020. It did not provide any details.
