China's Guizhou caps coat consumption

China's Guizhou province will cap coal consumption at 118mh t by 2020 as part of its 13th energy development plan, in line with Beijing's efforts to reform the coal industry. Guizhou in southwest China is seeking to reduce air pollution by lowering coal consumption, the provincial energy bureau said. It aims to cut ammonia nitrogen-related emissions, sulphur dioxide and nitrogen oxides by 11.2pc, 7pc and 7pc respectively compared with 2015 levels.
