South Korean state-owned utility Korea Midland Power (Komipo) today issued a trio of multi-year tenders seeking a total of 6.24mn t of bituminous coal for its 4,000MW Boryeong thermal power plant, through to 2022. Two of the tenders seek minimum NAR 5,700 kcal/kg coal with a maximum sulphur level of 1pc and moisture levels not exceeding 15pc.
