South Korea's Komipo issues coal tenders

South Korean state-owned utility Korea Midland Power (Komipo) has issued two tenders seeking a total of 2.54mn t of thermal coal for its 4GW Boryeong and 2GW Shin Boryeong power plants. Komipo in the first tender is seeking 2.47mn t of of minimum NAR 5,700 kcal/kg coal over January 2018-December 2022. The first year has three Capesize shipments loaded in April 2018, while four Capesize shipments should be loaded each year from 2019 until 2022. Bidders should offer on a fob trimmed basis.
