China's key Daqin coal rail line has shortened its regular maintenance, which started today. The reduced work period is likely aimed at minimising disruptions to domestic coal supply and stabilising prices. Maintenance on the key line will now last for 22 days until 15 November, market participants said. The line will be out of operation for three hours/d during this time. The maintenance period has been cut from a 25-day window that was originally planned to run until 18 November.
