China’s inland coal demand lifts fob mine prices

Coal mining firms in China’s largest producing provinces are raising prices on the back of stronger demand from inland power plants in the north of the country. Inner Mongolia-based private-sector coal producer Yitai yesterday raised its fob mine price for NAR 5,500 kcal/ kg coal by 10-20 yuan/t ($1.40-2.80/t) to Yn400-445/t, depending on the size of the purchase. Inner Mongolia is China’s largest producing province.
