Bids, offers for low-CV Indonesian edge higher

The low-calorific value (CV) Indonesian market showed further signs of strengthening today amid the recent increase in Chinese demand, with a GAR 4,200 kcal/kg deal emerging at a higher price compared with recent similar transactions. The market has seen a steady rise in enquiries from Chinese buyers this week, despite the recent implementation of Chinese import restrictions. But market participants have been better prepared for the restrictions this year than they were in late 2018, with sellers able to find alternative markets.
