There were further signs that the low-calorific value (CV) Indonesian coal market was strengthening today, with bids and offers for October-loading shipments of GAR 4,200 kcal/ kg coal both edging higher. Details of firm transactions have been typically slow to emerge so far this week, although with bid levels increasing there is a sense that transactions are likely to be concluded at higher levels than last week, when several October- loading GAR 4,200 kcal/kg geared Supramax shipments changed hands at $32/t.
