Lower prices limit Indonesia’s output target

Indonesian coal mining company Golden Eagle Energy (SMMT) has taken a more cautious approach in setting its 2019 production target as the country’s reference price (HBA) extended month-on-month falls into the new year. SMMT will target output of 1.8mn t, unchanged from its 2018 target, because of pricing uncertainties, it said. Last year's target was up by 400,000t from its 2017 goal. Actual output in 2017 was 1.02mn t and last year's total has yet to be published.
