摘要

POSCO has introduced and developed mold control systems to increase slab quality and to decrease mold level fluctuation in Continuous casting for 20 years. We have adopted many proven maker-offered systems in first stage and improved subsequently by using additional control system. Since the mold level is fluctuated easily by parameter variations and disturbances - clogging, bulging, surface wave and more, we have tested at many casters to solve the cause of variation in Continuous Casting and Thin Slab Casting. The result has shown good control performances and shall be expected in Compact Endless Mill as well.
