U.S. Steel suffers losses again on high imports and falling oil prices

U.S. Steel has posted the Q1 2015 financial results showing a decline. The losses are related to extremely high level of imports, according to the company. Meanwhile, additional negative influence was seen from oil price drop. In Q1 2015 net loss amounted to $75 million due to “the negative impact of the tremendously high levels of imports, which have contributed to reduced volumes and average realized prices,” said CEO U.S. Steel Mario Longhi.
