WSA: global crude steel output drops 2.7% in March on slack finished steel demand

Weak demand and adverse price situation in the global steel market forced steelmakers almost from all regions to reduce steel melting in March. Global steel output dropped 2.7% over the period under review to 138 million t, reported World Steel Association (WSA). The decline was recorded everywhere, except for the Middle East.
