Chinese rebar export prices lose another $15/t w-o-w amid slack local market

Chinese rebar suppliers have decreased export prices again amid weak demand overseas and inside the country.Rebar offers are mostly coming from China to foreign buyers at $280-295/t FOB, which is $15/t below the last-weeklevel. Prices here and below are given on actual weight basis (AW). The lowest prices for Chinese rebar have beenasked in Singapore. Early this week Shagang Group, a major mill in Eastern China, has sold 5,000 t of rebar there at$290/t CFR TW ($286/t FOB AW). Traders have been offering at $280/t FOB, trying to sell in short position.
