US crude steel output keeps recovering after major decrease in mid-September

The biggest leap in productionhas been reported in western states; only mills located in the north-eastern part of the country have shown a decline.According to the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI), steel melting increased by 1.7% to 1.735 million short tonsover the past week.
