Driven by scrap weakness, prices for Spanish rebar decreased both for local and Algerian trading companies. Delayed buying in the first half of February amid customers expectations for further price cuts coupled with falling scrap quotes urged Spanish rebar makers to go down by EUR 5/t compared with a three-week-ago level.
