Chinese HDG export price falls $20-30/t since last week

Chinese HDG exporters have kept slashing quotes amid missing demand. Most suppliers have hardly got any orders over the week. Decreased domestic prices aggravate the situation. Offer prices from major Chinese mills to foreign buyers have dropped $20-30/t to $540-550/t FOB over the period. “Prices move down almost every day. Demand weakens as customers wait for prices to flatten out,” a representative of a large Chinese trading company tells Metal Expert.
