Power shortage delays entry to sections market until October for Pakistan’s Abbas Steel

Pakistani longs maker Abbas Steel Group (Abbas Steel) has once again postponed the launch of sections productiondue to power shortage amid increased consumption in summer.The company planned to start commercial production of sections at the end of summer, Metal Expert reported previously,but was forced to delay the launch of steelmaking (284,000 tpy) and rolling (100,000 tpy) equipment until October.
