South Korea imposes AD duties on Chinese beam

After year-long investigation, at the end of July South Korea has imposed an antidumping duty on imports of over80 mm H-beam from China. On July 30, the Ministry of Strategy and Finance of South Korea has introduced duties of 28.23-32.72% on beamimports from eight Chinese suppliers, effective for five years. In addition, the authorities have set quotas on imports ofChinese products up to 580,000 tpy (some 50,000 tpm). The duties will be levied on the products made by TangshanHongrun Steel (32.72%), Jinxi Steel (28.23%), Rizhao Steel (28.23%), Laiwu Steel (28.23%), Ma’anshan Steel (28.23%),Xintai Steel (28.23%), Tianjin Steel (28.23%) and Baotou Steel (28.23%).
