China has been cutting iron ore imports for the second consecutive month in view of a steep fall in prices for the material, which has made many market operators temporarily leave the market. China imported 74.57 million t of iron ore in June, down 3.6% month-on-month, the official China Customs Data statistics shows. However, main Australian exporters ramping up production has led to a year-on-year 19.7% pick-up.
