Evraz Group keeps constructing Yuzhny Rolling Mill despite strong competition in Russian rebar market

Despite strong competition among longs makers in the Southern Federal District of Russia, Evraz Group keeps constructing Yuzhny Rolling Mill and plans to sell its products only to regional buyers. The company has slightly rescheduled construction of 450,000 tpy longs mill, so installation of the equipment will begin in the second half of 2014 instead of June. After this phase of the project, which will take about a year, the producer will commence pre-commissioning with further commercial production star-up. The exact launch dates are unknown.
