Steel consumption to surge in Qatar on preparation to 2022 Football World Cup

Steel consumption will increase significantly in Qatar as the country is preparing to host 2022 Football World Cup. Preparations to the event will boost consumption of steel products by 10-15% in the next few years in comparison with 2013, according to assessments of experts. Some of the projects, such as building new roads, a railway and one of the arenas have already been started.
