Domestic prices for steel scrap have dropped in Turkey on deteriorating segment for finished steel products. During the second week of November many Turkish steelmakers have decided to lower purchase prices by TRY 20-25/t (equivalent to $9-11/t at the current exchange rate). It was necessary to make that step first of all due to unfavourable conditions in the steel product market.
