Export prices for Chinese CRC stable despite lack of domestic demand

Export prices for Chinese CR coils have stayed almost unchanged in mid-August. However, domestic demand is extremely slack, market players told Metal Expert. There are no signs of a price increase. Stable buying abroad can only keep export prices from falling. The majority of Chinese mills hold offers of CR material to foreign buyers at $575-583/t FOB. Sales to SE Asia are reportedly stable, which supports prices somewhat.
