German buyers have plate stocks enough till year’s end, delay new bookings

In mid-October, the majority of German companies have suspended purchases having sufficient plate stocks ahead of the accounting period. In this situation as well as on some shortage in the market, local and European mills have left prices unchanged over two weeks. Business activity has dropped much over two weeks, market players say. “We have booked enough plate and now can buy just small volumes when needed till the end of the year,” a German trader told Metal Expert.
