摘要

Quenching of bio-samples into subcooled liquid nitrogen or slush nitrogen is a very effective method of rapid cooling in cryopreservation and cryofixation. Cooling rates during quenching are investigated experimentally. The effects of the sizes of samples and the subcooling of liquid nitrogen are found. The results show that cooling rates are increased dramatically with the decrease of the sizes of samples and the Increase of the subcooling. [References: 8]
